About a year ago, I thought I'd show my friends 4 yo son the engine of my new Honda Accord. He was really into cars at that time. To the point of being able to sit still while looking through actual shop manuals with me. Anyway......

Upon opening the hood of the Honda, a small bird flew out of the engine compartment! We were both surprised. I'm pretty sure he thought it somewhat normal for birds to fly out of engine compartments after that.

Birds are one thing, but watch out for mice too!
