And Frank's radio lady was clearly totally wrong.

Yes, she was. But look at it from her point of view. She came in with a working radio, now it doesn't work-it's logical she would think Frank caused the problem, even though he didn't. I've been a telephone tech for 28 L-O-N-G years. About two years ago I went on a service call for a fairly minor station problem. As soon as I walked into the room where the customers telephone equipment is located, the voicemail started squealing an alarm and 5 seconds later it went down! I had not even taken my jacket off or set down my tools. Within 30 seconds the customer is back there screaming "What did you do?". Fact was I didn't do a damn thing! The power supply in the voicemail system (basically just a PC) blew. It was going to blow that day at that time whether I was there or not-but I WAS there. The really bad parts-they are a T&M customer (no maintenance agreement) so I had to bill them for the power supply and labor, and that customer has never trusted me again-they fully believe I caused the failure, and in a way, I can't blame them. It was just a miserable coincidence. Jeff Jeff Stewart fonman4277@earthlink.net http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/vwcampersmidatlantic/
