Where can you get magic no rust hardened fasteners? Is that your question TC? I don't know. All I said was I went to the hardware store and bought SS fasteners. They weren't even metric, they were SAE. It probably cost me $10-$15 for a whole bag-full of nuts, bolts & washers. As they were not specially marked, I assume they were the lowest quality SS available from wherever the Home Depot buys their bolts from in China. Grade 5 maybe? I've heard that's what they are, but honestly I do not know.

I've got to say that even if you don't use never-seize and your bolts and nuts become forever fused, I'd sure prefer snapping off and replacing nice, shiny, hexagonal fasteners over dicking around all day trying to extricate a bunch of rounded nubs of rusty steel that used to be bolts once upon a time. I'm sorry - I hate rust - grrrrrr - it makes even the most simple tasks painful ordeals. If you've never had the pleasure of working on old cars in rusty places, you may think you what I'm talking about, but you don't. Ben H. - je sais que tu comprends! :)
