The dealer was right, "its a snap". But only if you need to drive it in emergency. Pull the plug off the old one, push it on the new one and you can start the car. Only, it will be hanging there out of place. And you have to use the keys of the car normally to unlock the steering wheel, if you don't want to go around in circles.
