"Life is short but it's Wide"

I had reservations about posting this to the list, but I felt as though it could provide some perspective. I know it has for me!

My life was taken from me (briefly) back in the early 90's (flatlined in the ER after a high school prank gone VERY wrong). It's because of this that I make it a point to live each and every day as if it was my last - because I am ... TRULY ... living on borrowed time.

I remind myself every morning that the day is not my own.

Stastistically speaking, someone else should be sitting at my desk . . . be in love with my girlfriend . . . living in my apartment. So I try my hardest to make the most of the gifts that I've been given, and have no regrets.

That's a big part of the reason why I made the decision to put myself $5,000 in hock for the pleasure of getting back into the driver's seat of a vanagon.

I have no idea how many times we make the terrestrial journey, but I plan to enjoy the hell out of this go-round!

Apologies if this sounded hokey or cheesy, but it's honest!
