My 83.4 that Chris refers to was great fun, but I just had too many vehicles to take care of.

Besides the seating for nine and the sunroof, the real job was how simple it was compared to my 90 syncro westfalia...no power steering - but a nice big steering wheel, no power windows, no a/c, no power locks, etc. With proper sized tires -as opposed to my oversized obsession with the syncro- it moved along quite nicely.

The feeling was totally different: it had all the simplicity and reliability of an old bus, the heat of a water cooled system, and the room of a vanagon. With nine seats and a sunroof the neighborhood kids loved it too!
