Thanks to all of you, especially Jim Felder, for helping with my window mechanism. The old one is out and the "new" one from my mechanics "storage shed" Vanagon is in. My biggest problem was not knowing what the mechanism looked like since it's behind the door so it was hard to determine how to get it out of there.

This is one of those jobs I like to spare my regular mechanic from, I sure mechanics hate jobs like that (going behind the dash must be the least favorite). I'm sure that's why he had no problem letting me take his off his junker for free.

Of course when I turned on the ignition to test the speaker I smelled gas. That's fixed now too. &^(*^ clamp.
