This is as much of a question as it is a reply, but the 1.9 engine calls
for timing at 5º ATDC whereas the 2.1 calls for 5º BTDC.  I would think
that if you're using a 1.9 distributor that you'd want to time it at 5º
ATDC.  Anyone??

Where is your timing set?
