Subject: Adding side windows to pop-top canvas?
Content-Type: text/plain

Ok, all this talk about pop-top screen replacement!

My friend's wife made the pop-top canvas on my van (and did an excellent job (van was her & husband's at the time) . She made a super large front screened window, but due to time pressure, did not put a zipper to allow zipping out the screen for luggage carrier access. There are also no side windows, which I miss from the canvas I installed on my last van.

How possible is it to add side windows and/or a zipper to the front screen - without removing the pop-top canvas? I'm thinking an upholstery shop doing the work more than me, but it might then be cheaper to install a new canvas and sell the old one! I would consider tacking just a job myself as well.

If the canvas would have to be removed:.....since I believe this canvas is not stapled in like the 81 I had, is re-installing any worst hassle than a 1st time install with a new canvas?
