RE: Personal defense with deadly force Let me add these comments to this thread. There are three problems to be understood. Problem 1, when to use deadly force, the circumstances and the justification. Problem 2, how to use deadly force, preparation, equipment, skill, willingness. And Problem 3, the aftermath, the laws in the jurisdiction, the attitude of the cop writing the report, the attitude of the DA reviewing the report, the the attitude of the Judge you may end up in front of. And their attitude and view of the situation is more important than the written law in this kind of circumstance. Problem 3 will be the worst part of the whole ordeal. So learn and understand the principles and elements of the law that come into play, learn the specifics of the local laws.
