Subject: Ferreting out the Kooky sender

When you see the message, check the message header ( In Outlook, highlight but do not open the message, right click select options and you will see a window which has the message headers.) Copy this to a convenient notepad file and look at the 'from'. You will find IP addresses AND a domain say Yahoo.Com or gorabbit.uk. You can then use the "whois" website to get the details on the domain. Not likely the Kookymathteacher. You can add the domain to your junk mail senders list.

Opening the message can cause problems if there is executable code in it. So if you don't recognize the sender, check the header without opening the message. If the source is suspect, SHIFT-DELETE to permanently delete the message.

Now back to your regularly scheduled political progamming.
