Comments: To: Dylan Friedman <insyncro@YAHOO.COM>

Hi Dylan,

I wish i could put a Subi or a Bostig, well, anything with more power but i can't... money wise and "public relation" wise, it's NOT good for me to show off with something that the average owner can't afford and/or don't understand, they need to see that i drive a VW with a VW engine, something they can associate to. It's kind of a provocation to drive something they don't understand! I had a turbo project on ice... yea, with home made rods and pistons... but no one would ever think of buying such a modification/engine... it's as scary as a Subi or Bostig. people need to rely on.. you or something. It's as stupid as that! It's like the neighbor, you were good friend but the guy bought a expensive pool, or a expensive car... you now became envious and the relation was not the same... yea, it's look stupid (and it is) but that is the sad truth! unless you are REALY good friend and he will only say: men, good for you, you earned it! What i am trying to say in French (hey hey) is i don't want to "pissed" anyone (customers) with my ... knowledge. They could say: pffff, Ben is no longer with us! is out, not in the gang! not a believer! his got the big thing and we have like... nothing!

I donT know where i should "position" myself in all that... EX: next december, with Frank, we are planing that trip to Mexico, and i said to my girlfriend, I WON'T GO THE WITH A WASSER....she reply, well, everyone else will have one, you won't go faster because you will have a more powerfull engine... you will have to "go with the flow", and, of course, like always, she is right!

I hope you understand what i'm trying to say... in my BEST ever English! because, me, i'm lost! he he he....

Thanks for the nice comments. Why built a ugly engine? at least it will be as reliable as a wasser can't be!

Anyway, what is your point? you put powefull Subi, why go back to wasser?

You are more than welcome anytime!

Later, Ben

--------------------------------------------------------------------- Ben, You have inspired me numerous times with your engine rebuilding and refining! Everytime I see one of you dressed up boxers I want to do the same. I have been pulling those motors and replacing with Subaru engines. I have so many good parts floating around my shop to make a couple complete wassers. Love the added color to the pipes and polished cases. Nice job! The next time I am up your way I would like to stop by your shop to check it out and meet you.

I am in Hudson, NY 12534, about 5 and a half hours south.

dylan
