I have had an overall positive reception to my vanagon westy habit from the
friends & family over the years.

I will admit - they were NOWHERE during "Engine Replacement Summer" or "The
Fridge Comes Out Again.." and "Fuel Line Replacement Day!"  [ i did get help
on "Front Dash Blower Weekend" ..]

- but the entire niece and nephew crew[ 5 - 13 yrs old]  think it is the
coolest.

Sister kept borrowing it for boy scout campouts [no one said mom had to
rough it..] and became quite popular. I finally convinced her she needed her
own and thanks to Ebay last month.. "Hasenpfeffer" is now being trucked from
San Jose!  I have 2 other friends on the fence about buying one.
[ That whole Full-time-mechanical-project thing tends to turn people off..
dunnowhy..]

Boyfriend has never made a secret that the Westy is the ONLY reason he will
join the campouts. Friends always request the penthouse / upper bunk on our
camping trips and seem to think the recent second vanagon will be a great
addition to all our trips.

[ gee - i am glad i bought it for everyone else's convenience??]
