"Or an alarm that alerted you wihout alerting everyone else within a two-mile radius? Surely there are some innovations out there?"

I had a coworker who left a phone message on another coworkers work phone that was a joke, but "threatening". That night I went home and dialed his (message-leaver) work phone and left a message: "heeaaaay, 'dis is Guido. You no leave da phone message on ma-friends phone. Nessk time you do 'dis, you get da visit from da boys." (I then record the pump action sound of my 12 gauge bear gun into the phone). This turned out to be so hilarious for him that he took it with him when he retired.

My point: arrange a device that would trigger the recorded cocking sound, after the "alarm trigger" is set off by someone snooping. The trouble with this idea is that if I'm inside my van, it would probably make me wet the bed ..... or worse! .... out of a dead sleep. ;>)
