I have a mystery situation that is stumping my VW/Audi
mechanic and me.

My 85' quit running last Sunday after behaving like
Vanagon syndrome for several weeks.

This is a stock 1.9 digijet motor.

It is literally drowning itself with fuel ~ ignition
in start / run position puts all four injectors full
on.

I've swapped out the ECU and AFM (AFM was a known good
unit ~ ECU was claimed good at my local VW only
salvage).  Fuel pressure regulator tests good.

What can this be if not an ECU?
