Jeff, If its in the "my driveway", it will stay there. If its in the family's driveway you must get it running and use it regularly to justify keeping it. Family does not always like what and who you like, and would like you get rid of those. They love you but there are limits to their patience and the outlook of the neighborhood. Many of us on this list had to fight similar demons and still do I'm sure. If its a Westy and you have the money to get it new again, do it. They will not mind, I think. It seems, you can't just park an old van forever between expensive rides without a comment. How would you like your kids park rusty Yugos and old junky Fiats park between those strapping Westfalias and Vanagons of yours? It would click you off, I'm sure.
