This is awesome, I really appreciate that you guys did this. I'm gonna have to pull my tranny (again), and I think it was Stan Wilder that was always saying you should replace that seal when you were in there, as opposed to being forced to do it later. Sometimes I think things like that are a good idea, sometimes I go with 'if it ain't broke...' There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with my seal, but I don't really have a very good idea of how many miles are on the bottom end. I need to see if I can work that out- I think the OO is local but I've never had a reason to contact him. Anyway I've been considering this, but not having done it or even seen it done I really didn't know what it was that I was considering... and now I know (and knowing is half the battle, etc. etc.) I'd have to get the two measuring tools, but hey- new toys are good things. As for Boston Bob... it's always interesting to see competence in action. Anybody want to weigh in with an opinion yay or nay on the seal?

Cya, Robert
