I just got the 2.1L liter engine I recently ordered for a customer. Not only does it have a new case, but the heads look new also and they are not AMCs. The casting includes POLAND right across the top. Not stamped but raised so it was part of the casting. The hose connection on top is a slightly different design. In stead of being part of the casting, it is a machined sleeve pressed or glued or other wise attached for the hose connection. Oil cooler and flywheel is there.

Denis, have you got a VW part number for that engine ? I called my dealer here in Ottawa, Citiwest Motors, and they say they cannot find the engine in their system.

Cheers,
