Subject: Re: Ball joints, upper / lower

"""Forgot to mention: I live in Southern California, just north of San Diego, in a burg called Carlsbad."""

Men i love that spot, i like the state park along the ocean! http://www.benplace.com/baja/calif007.jpg

I met Mark Drillock wile there a few years ago... he was just walking in the park and saw me... "Hey, are you Ben from the mailing list"... he help me find parts and change them!

The upper one take about 45min top each side, the lower one are more dificult and CAN'T be done with a minimum of tools (like Paul showed us).

Wile there, you should check everything: http://www.benplace.com/85rouge/rouge12.jpg

The red arrow show the main moving parts of the front end... this is my van, the lower one were change not so long ago so i didn't replace them. In the shop, i only changed those once, but many time on bus's: http://www.benplace.com/79beige/79beige50.jpg

On the Bus's, the lower and upper one are the same...

Those are the one that make the "squiky" noise, the upper arm bushing: http://www.benplace.com/85rouge/rouge5.jpg

(Paul, i made a tool to remove them easy! not as dificult as before when we did your's in my shop) I also made a tool to remove the lower one's faster.

Cheers, Ben
