Hehehehe... I've used the all patience from the bucket twice, so far.
I stop at that point and come back later.

I think I can get the snap ring to move with scribes ("think" being
the operative word) but not able to push the darn thing up with both
hand holding the scribes. I'll see it sitting in the vice and think
about getting a second set of hands at some point.

I've no doubt that there is a way for one person to get it off, I
just have not found it yet.
