Bob, Sam, Mark, Chris and the Archivists, Thank you very very much for your help with this. After carefully pulling out the connector on the back of the speedo, I bent the outermost pin (the ground according to Bentley) aside. The connector was fitting back in, but real tight. I filed a shallow groove in the adjacent plastic and was able to bury that pin a little which made for a smoother fit and, if necessary in the future, a more likely extraction. Sweet, sweet relief! Now, the alarms are off AND the oil lamp lights when I turn the key on. Thank You Very Much, Mike |
