I understand that the rate of gun crime went DOWN in Florida when the concealed carry law was passed. As a previous poster mentioned, most gun crime in the U.S. is directly related to the drug trade. No, certainly not. Baltimore has the dubious distinction of having the highest per capita homicide rate in the US, or at least did recently. But, this violence is largely young black men killing young black men in the dope trade. Unless you plan on touring and camping in the the ghettos of US cities, it's relatively easy to avoid gun violence. I do it all the time.
