I am buying a jetta off the craigslist and wondering if this is a scam method. I know there was some discussion earlier on buying a winter car, and a discussion a while back about being scammed on ebay. The car is listed here http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/car/267755416.html and looks to be a great deal. I have talked with the seller, and hes going through an escrow company that he has a contract with (the reason he cant just sell it to me face to face and save costs) through www.internationalvehicletrade.com. He says i sign up with them, he pays to deliver the car, i get 6 days to inspect it, if i like it he flys down (from canada) and finalizes all the paperwork. All costs are incured on him. Is this a real method of buying cars, or am i gettings swindeled? -Craig '85GL sunroff (Shopping for a winter car) |
