Hi Chuck:
I have been asking that same question of the various lists
for three years now and have yet to get a good answer. I don't
believe anyone really knows the answer.
What I started doing is to mark my wrenches (and sockets by
extension) to see which ones I DON'T use in my daily or weekly
repairs.
I tie a little twist-tie through each closed end wrench and
leave it there until I use it. After a few months you see which
wrenches still have the twist-tie attached and those are the ones you
leave behind.
My research is still in progress but I do have about 4 or 5
of the metric wrenches that have not been used in three years. I use
a collapsable tool kit that I store under the rear seat and there are
a few things that I have managed to get rid of but then again I
haven't tackled all my problems yet.
Sorry I can't tell you what they are right now as the van is
in winter storage.
Good Luck! and if you do get a definitive list, please post it to the forum.
Thanks!
David (dsl82westy)
