Hey Frank --- I'm assuming these fit in the front doors --- did you put them in the back as well?

Doug, yes, I put them front and back. One small problem you may encounter which Chris brought up and I had forgot to mention before. The early Vanagon OEM speakers are not as easy to cut apart to get the grille cover as they are held to the door panel with that big plastic nut on the back so that when you cut the grille off your gonna have to drill and countersink four holes in the rim of the grille cover to hold it and the new speaker to the door. If you can find the later version Vanagon OEM speakers, Chris says '88 up, they are held to the door panel with four screws so when you cut off the speaker from the grille you can easily install that grille with the new speaker.

Cheers,
