I have the same problem with mine, here in Chicago (8 degrees today).

It was more gradual though . . . starting with the oil temp guage blinking continuously.

My thought is that I need to get either a dipstick heater or a block heater and thaw that sucker out.

It's to the point where it does the same thing that yours seems to be doing.

Turn the key . . . zippo.
