Ryan,

First, it's best to slightly trim the the console sides, right next to the front of the console, for a custom fit if you have that padding strip across the front of the dash. If you set it behind this strip or lip, the console will overhang the defroster outlet a bit too much.

The "Easy" way is to get long screws and run them through the console and into the top of the dash itself. It would be best to place something between the underside of the console and the dash for support. You could get some modeling clay, soften it and place it in several places on the dash so that the console, when dry fitted, would compress the clay and show you exactly how tall these spacers need to be. Then you would, of course, drill through the spacers for the long screws.

Another way would be to make the spacers and stick them to the dash with construction cement then screw the console to the spacers (wooden spacers, for example.
