Every time I do this I miss a nut somewhere. They are everywhere. Inside the water jacket and even hidden around the flywheel area. I would bet there is a just one left that is playing hide and seek.

Now that I'm done with my 2.1 conversion, I've still got the seized 1.9 sitting in my garage. I've stripped everything off of it, was surprised that the heads look pretty good, no sign of corrosion. I tried for a couple of hours Saturday and Sunday to open the case just to see what it looks like inside-the engine was run with no oil 'til it locked up. I am certain I have every nut off, but the case won't budge. Any suggestions on how to get it apart? Is it possible that it has just melted into one solid chunk, and it's not going to come apart? Jeff
