There are 2 main ground location on any westy. Here is the first one: http://www.benplace.com/85rouge/rouge154.jpg (just under the coil / on fire wall) This one is hooked to the left head on engine, on engine, at least 5 wires are attach to this one (mostly on the earlier version), the second one in the engine area is on the tranny, in front of this one (a safety one). Another dificult to reach location is in the dash! left side, behind the fuse box, about 12 ground over there, mostly for dash use. Half of dash problem are related to bad ground, including the radiator fan, it's hooked over there, also the heater blower is there. Now, how is your + doing? especially on the starter! That is about it! Ben ---------------------------------------------------------------- Possibly the most common recommendation to track electrical gremlins is "clean your grounds." My questions: is there a good list of ALL of the ground locations on the 2.1? How many are there? Where? Are they all braided metal lines i.e. no insulation? |
