Hi Joy,
Thanks. The guys where I used to work used to tell me they thought I
was driving the remains of a crashed float-plane. You're right, the
pop-top can't be raised with the boats on top. But I CAN load both
boats onto the bus by myself with that rack, which is not something I
could do if it were a hightop. And my 17' coleman canoe will NOT fit
inside a bus, hightop or otherwise, unless you fold it up or melt it
down, which ain't gonna happen.
There was a splitwindow factory hightop at Everybus last year with a
canoe on top; I can only imagine what that would have been like in a
crosswind. And can you imagine the horror if it had car tires? I
just drove 110KM tonight with a full load of 8 adults in the vanagon
to attend a local VW group dinner, and the winds tonight were bad
enough in a passenger van!!
