Raimund, They mount to the van's body. Basically, what you have to do is place a light in it's approximate mounting position then put the SA grille on using just the outer pins. you then move the inner light to center it in its opening and hold it there while you remove the grille. Duct tape (it's a Maine thing) the light so it doesn't move. Reinstall the grille to make sure the light is still lined up. Remove the grille and mark where to drill holes in the van. Repeat for the other side. Mike
