Well i won't get into the whole Windows or Mac topic. --- ;^) But...... Yes. QT 7 is free. The incentive for Apple might be that newer free stuff would encourage users to buy newer stuff to create with and "keep up with the flow". I dunno..... Regardless, QT player is it's pretty accesible. It has, in theory and by todays standards, pretty minimal hardware requirements for both Windows/Mac OS. (but not so minimal OS req. ! ) Not sure if install would put plugins etc. in all types of browsers to deal with streaming content, but as a stand alone playing downloaded files, it should work fine. The irony, I'm finding, is that I'd be better off creating web content with older software. Pretty sure that would help as newer software would be backwards compatible thus could deal with the content, and users with older stuff could possibly see/hear it too. Whoooo knows. I do know I'm getting totally sidetracked, and am getting this list sidetracked from VC. At least my hearts in the right place creating what may be helpful stuff for other Vanangon owners. :^) For those curious about QT software, (comes with iTunes in Windows version) QT for Windows download/info link: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html Mac link: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/mac.html
