Finally tracked down those VW Rebuilt engines up  here in the Great White
North.  With the help of Denis sending me the part  number, O25-100-031-EX,
Citiwest VW found that there are three in the Ajax  warehouse.  The part number is
in the ETKA 7 program.  Price is $3300  CND and yes they will accept any
condition core even with a hole in the  crankcase.  My bud at Citiwest told me that
a few years back VW as  accepting cores and paying for them.  They finally
found they were taking a  loss and stopped that after some enterprising soles
were going around to scrap  yards and collecting engines to turn in for profit.
