Just saw a non-camper Syncro on eBay in Dover PA with a buy-it-now price of
$5k.  Looks like a pretty decent value, depending on the status of the
engine.

I found this one on Cape Cod and posted about it, but
that has been a couple of years.  Still might be worth
a look.

Eastham MA –Gold Syncro hardtop with no plates parked
behind the Citgo dealer at the light on US 6.  Vanagon
has decent interior, scuff behind sliding door, dented
rear bumper with missing endcaps, and a rust bubble
below the windshield.  Mileage unknown. Someone needs
to check this one out.
