Hi Frank,

Actually, Dennis Jolliffe picked up a 40K-miles aircooled van from ebay two years ago that was VERY cheap thanks to an engine fire. The fire was put out pretty quick so it didn't destroy the sheetmetal. His cost was much less than what you paid for parts. Since the parts you replaced had 500K on them, even 100K or 200K parts still have lots of life left in them.

IIRC, there's a panel vanagon near kingston with less than 100K on it. Pretty rough, though.
