Kim; How about when you don't have the cargo box up there. Does the top go flying up and you have too ask someone plus yourself to hang on the raise assist bar to get it down. I saw your set-up at the perkeomin campout and put it on the to-do list. Now that i know the poundage and length i may start the project. I may need a longer length strut because it looks like my rack plate is a little more forward than yours. Is the strut on yours fully extended.
