I recently tried to upgrade my State Farm insurance policy

on my 88 Vanagon GL.  I wanted State Farm to raise my premium.

I told State Farm my Vanagon was

worth considerably more than what is listed as retail in the

NADA and KBB.  I have referenced the values of Vanagons

in Automobile Collector publications which indicate my 88 is

worth around $7,000 (Excellent condition).  I received a letter

from State Farm this week eluding to the fact that they will

not value my Vanagon at the $6,000 value which I requested.



How can I be sure that if my Vanagon is destroyed I will

get more than the $1,800 value listed in NADA/KBB.
