Hi Joy:
        Just a note. If you are planning to take kayaks to Labrador,
be advised that access to smooth water is hard to find. The norm are
fast, rapid filled rivers and diminished lakes with shore lines that
are long , muddy and stump filled. The trans-Labrador road was built
with avoidance of water courses in mind, so the water access roads
are narrow, rough and often gated.  Also, the Atlantic is windy and
very cold, so choose your bays carefully; wearing cold water
immersion gear.
        Having said that, the scenery is spectacular. Oh, did I
mention the dust.  ;-)
