Thanks everyone,

now I learned two things: A) that I was greasing the grommet was a good idea, but there are better greases than engine oil B) that I used engine oil was a bad idea since my grommets are probably bad in a couple years.

Oh well. Thanks a lot, will try to get it in on my next van-day.
