Hi Roger,

Did you bleed out all the brake fluid when you changed the cylinder?

Brake fluid should be flushed and replaced with new every 2-3 years. The fluid is hydrophilic and will absorb water over time. That water content will rust the metal components and the rust will quickly deteriorate the seals. If the fluid isn't clear and clean, you should replace it ASAP.

If the fluid was flushed when you did the first one, you're just getting junk.
