Whats the risk in paypal if he pays you first? german paypal can only be paid by überweisung or credit card, are you afraid the payment bounces after you send the item off? I dont think that can really happen (I am german by the way, just living in the U.S.) other way i know is an international wire transfer (rather expensive) or, if you trust me, you can make him pay into my german account, and i send you a check from my u.s. account - your choice. flo
