I've checked ETKA 5.3, 5.6 and 6.2 as well (I have them all [as well as 7] on different machines), that's why I said "forget ETKA" (too many errors, especially in the early editions). This is why (as an "info junkie") I've retained hundreds of the old Parts Fiche to cross-reference and double-check against ETKA, as well as being able to search out obsolete part numbers.

A check with Bentley's Track Wiring Diagram shows that the OXS light circuit exists thru 1991 on Terminal 14 of the 14 Pin Flat Connector to the Instrument Cluster, so that's no help either (as noted over the years, there are inconsistentcies in many of the editions of Bentley, which can't always be a trustworthy source of information). A further check in Bentley on Page 90.15 shows the illustration of the box for USA Models without a year period cut-off of any kind, so once again, no help there either.

A further check shows the Parts Fiche Illustration 135-15 "Vehicles With Revolution Counter" and the box itself installed with the comments "Digifant: MV" which is the USA market and with checking Illustration 149-05 showing the box again with the comments "USA". Although the original fiche can't be considered an "end all=be all", they have proven over the years (in my experience) to be an awful lot more reliable than ETKA. Just think why we as a group most often than not consider the parts person at a dealer to be morons - can't be helped if they have poor information to go on for themselves. I'm surprised (well, really I'm not) that VOA had their dealer network ash-can the fiche system en-mass when introing ETKA. The least they could have done was to have them keep it as a back up - doesn't take up much room.

The fact that Loren's and Troy's vehicles never came with the "Revolution Counter" nor is there any OXS light in their cluster is not to be disputed, I believe 'em. But I do agree this is a mystery that bears a bit more research (I love a good "hunt"). Perhaps Mr Drillock can shed some info that I don't have at my fingertips.
