There are as many opinions on this subject are the are
sealers, It also
seems to be a point of personal contention among
listers. I use
Permatex Ultra Grey and have NEVER HAD A PROBLEM, even
though I've been told I
don't know what I'm doing (I've been trained by VW,
worked for VW, eat,
drink and sleep VW for 25 years!!!!
PROFESSIONALLY!!!!!) I have rebuilt
or resealed countless engines. Some have over 500000km
they DO NOT
leak, and run great, and I would send my mother in law
to Panama in that
van!!! The Right Stuff is probably great, but for me
and my shop- if it
ain't broke, don't fix it.
