Hi Joy,
I was raised to always give back something borrowed in the same or
better condition than when I got it. I'm not "worried" per se, it's
an issue of principle.
(ie, I want to remain eligible to borrow it again during next year's
vacation.)
As for the rear wiper... It's useful in summer when the dust makes it
impossible to see out the rear window; and it also comes in handy up
here in winter when the salt crust gets thick.
