None of the local vendors show anything in deep discharge that fits (they're all too tall). What are Canadians using for their second battery? It can't be higher than about 8". --------------------- Nathaniel, I assume your use of, "in the back" means, in the engine compartment? A local Auto-Electric Shop located a deep-cycle wet-cell battery for me about 5 years ago. I am located on VI, Campbell River. I believe this battery came from a Battery Distributor located at Nanaimo, BC. The name of the Brand is lost to posterity unfortunately. Battery particulars: Model: G-74DC, 950CA, 150RC Size: Height 8.0 inches, L & W... about average... 8-) Terminals: Side terminals only This battery fit under the engine compartment lid. I recall Alistair Bell has one battery in the back of his I-4 Conversion (previous diesel). Check his web-site:http://www.members.shaw.ca/albell/index.html Mouse around his site looking for "Frank Grunthaner's 82 Westfalia". Frank shoehorned a second battery into the rear of his Van. I will check with the Battery Shop locally and see if they still list this battery.... will p-mail you Nathaniel with results. Regards Phil Z. Campbell River, BC -------------------------- |
