Ed,  the brackets are tight enough so that the table cannot easily clear the
rubber  moulding on the forward edge of the cabinet.  To get the table out
requires  a good push.  Now, in the event of a crash, yes it may come out.
However, if that is all I was worried about coming at me from behind I'd just
stay at home.   Too much other stuff back there that can come flying  forward
also.  I try to be reasonable but........I'm not paranoid !  A  simple positive
lock could be devised however.
