We stow our extra table top up on the top bunk under the roof in the back third behind where the bed folds over, with the bottom up. I make a point to position the metal post bottom in the middle of the roof for room. There seems to be enough room or the roof would have a mark. We don't use it much, so the extra effort needed in getting it out doesn't matter. I leave the leg or post which hold it up in the bracket and it make a great paper towel holder, close enough to grab a wipe while driving.
