Thank you all for the input. Sounds like Microsoft might be the way to go. I'm not sure I'm interested in the GPS part right now anyway - I think you can get it much cheaper without the GPS part.

As for Joy's comment...well, no I don't need it but I thought it sounded like a good way to organize and plan everything out. If anything it could be a good suplement to the Atlas and maps we will have anyway.

Also, we don't plan on sticking to too ridgid a plan but it would be nice to have things planned out anyway. I think if we stuck to a pre-plan exclusively it would take a lot of the fun out of the trip.
