The "tourist" version was sold for other vehicles, and is embossed with the word "Touriste". They had pretty much the same tools as the VW version. But they were sold elsewhere for other specific makes; Porsche for one. The VW version was embossed with a VW symbol, and was sold by the dealer as an official accessory for the VW's.

I have an original 1957 VW one in excellent, unused condition. It's value? Anyone's guess.........and NO, it's not for sale.
