Sorry, the MexiBus engine mounting angle makes it too tall for a Vanagon. Vanagon stock inline engines are leaned over at 50 degrees so they clear the engine lid while the MexiBus uses 15 degrees AFAIK. It uses a special bellhousing with cable driven clutch, special flywheel, unique oil pan, and unique starter. Just get a Kennedy kit instead so you can use your stock Vanagon starter, clutch, bellhousing, hydraulics..... much simpler for Vanagons, maybe for loafs as well. Order the KEP kit with both 50 and 15 degree holes so you can move it to another bus/vanagon as desired.
